Free Tour Description
The first part of the tour will start in the Old Town Square, and give you a general introduction of the beautiful city of Prague. You will be left with no choice but to admire and commend the composition of the aged and ancient buildings and churches, while at the same time also becoming familiar with the life of the Czech reformer Jan Hus.
Small and labyrinthine lanes will take you back to Prague’s past: Mozart‘s Don Giovanni in the Estates Theatre, Karolinum – the Charles University since 1348, the cubist house of the Black Madonna and the medieval courtyard of Ungelt. If time permits, you can also get to visit the Powder Gate and the majestic art nouveau building of the Municipal House.
Next stop: the Jewish Quarter, where you can experience its tragic history. Here you will learn about the destiny of the Jews in Prague, who lived behind the walls of the former ghetto. You will also visit the Old-New-Synagogue, the Old Jewish Cemetery and the Jewish Museum; visit the birthplace of the infamous Golem and retrace the footsteps of the famous Jewish writer Franz Kafka.
Afterwards you will go to the Marianske Square, which will mark the end of the first half of the walking tour. You will have a 30 minute break from 12:45 to 1:15 pm, during which time you can sit down and relax and decide if you want to continue the tour or come back for the second half the next day.
The second half of the tour starts with the beautiful baroque library of the Klementinum. Then, crossing the Charles Bridge you will get to the real ‘open gallery under the sky’, and be awed by the peaceful, tiny Kampa Island. Then you will set your sights upon the graffiti on Lennon Wall, before finally arriving at the Lesser Town Square, which is highlighted by the great St. Nicholas Church. A brief visit to St. Nicholas Church will be followed by a 200 step climb to the Hradcanske Square. It is here that you will reach the Prague Castle, which is one of the biggest fortresses in all of Europe. Here you will find the Schwarzenberg Palace, Archbishop’s Palace, Old Royal Palace, the Basilica of St. George, and the greatest architectural treasure of all – St. Vitus Cathedral – all in this ‘city within the city’. The tour will finally conclude next to the Old Royal Palace, where you will enjoy a breathtaking view of the beautiful city of Prague – the city of a hundred spires.

Dear Sir. I have just returned from Prague 18/10/09 and my wife and I would like to thank you for the efficient way we were met at the airport and delivered to out hotel. Then the on time collection from the hotel and transfer to the airport this morning. The drivers were very careful, courteous and efficient. We also took the opportunity to take the complimentary walking tour. The young lady guide was excellent. She said her name was difficult to pronounce and remember which is true, we have forgotten it. However she was in her last at university doing English and American studies. We took the tour on Friday, it was raining and cold, however she kept our spirits up and the tour interesting. She had good knowledge of all the areas and made a cold day very entertaining. If you can please pass our thanks and appreciation on to her. Thank you again for a job well done. Regards Peter & Margaret Atkins
I`m writing to say that we went yesterday to the free tour, it was excelent, and Monica (the guide) was very very good. Alfredo posted on 20/04/2011
We did this tour on Tuesday May 4th 2010. It was without exception one of the loveliest experiences we have ever had on a city break . We had no problem finding “the lady with the red umbrella” whose name was Saska. we were the only people who turned up for the tour on the day so we had a personal guide. She is a lovely young woman a mine of information on Prague she showed us ever nook and cranny of the city giving us lots of quirky facts about it. We even saw the white peacock in all his glory !!! She organised the boat trip for us on the Wednesday night giving us her own mobile number in case we had a problem which of course we didn’t as it was another wonderful experience in spite of the rain. Thank you for making our visit to Prague so wonderfully stress free. Kieran and Mary Kennedy posted on 7/05/2010
We had a very good tour guide on Tuesday- Michaela- a knowledgible and pleasant guide with a good sense of humour- the tour was even more extensive than advertised. She deserves a raise! Kind regards, Henry and Mila Doerr posted on 11/09/2008
Having recently returned from a weekend break in Prague I feel I must thank you for the brilliant service you provided, very friendly drivers waiting exactly as promised, very good vehicles well driven with plenty of information. This combined with your Prague tour made the week-end one to remember. Thank you Alan Burston. posted on 08/11/2007
The service we got was excellent. The driver was waiting for us with a clear name board. For the return trip he was on time. The car was clean and comfortable. Our free tour was also very good. Geraldine Eagle posted on 31/10/2007
Hi, Just wanted to say that your service was excellent when we visited Prague last week. Roman was our driver for both journeys to and from the airport and he was charming, polite and very prompt. Your company was recommended to us by neighbours and I would have no hesitation in recommending you to future travellers. The 4 hour walking tour, included in the price, was also excellent, led by a very professional young lady who had so much historical information to give us. Thank you, L.Bowie posted on 15/10/2007
Hi, just wanted to echo other people’s testimonies regarding your service. Booked an airport transfer for my parents one week and for myself and my partner the following week and had no problems at all. All drivers were both prompt and helpful and I would have no hesitation in recommending your company to anyone who is travelling to Prague. The tour was a bonus, the guide was again helpful and had excellent knowledge of your city, even down to directions and travelling times to the ice hockey game that evening! Thanks for helping our trip to Prague run that bit more smoothly. Chris ‘Badger’ Chapman posted on 29/09/2007
